Wednesday 6:30-9pm.
We will also be having a BBQ on
Sunday 28th July 12-3pm, £12 per person all you can eat, and kids are half price.

Weddings

Being July, we are in the height of our wedding season and we have had some stunning weddings so far with more to look forward to. This Saturday we had the lovely Bride & Groom, Kellie & Anthony who had a perfect day and they even had an owl fly down the aisle with the rings, it was beautiful. Congratulations once again from all the Hunters team.

Our Weddings

Now any of us that have been brides to be, me included, understand the expected stress of the whole ‘big day process’, especially the morning of the wedding. Before you know it the day you have been planning for months is here. Your emotions are heightened, you’re excited and nervous all at once.

It’s very easy to get overwhelmed, there’s people coming and going, timelines to keep to, but it doesn’t have to be, my process was wonderful, calm and a lot of fun. Some of that was due to my friends and family but a big part of my day was thanks to my venue of choice, which just so happens to be where I work now, here, The Hunters Meet.

From start to finish they looked after me and my husband, listened, accommodated and took charge of all the worries so I didn’t have to. Below I have chosen to write 5 reasons I chose The Hunters Meet and reasons I think you should and my top 5 wedding tips. Enjoy and I hope it helps.

One – Venue

The Hunters Meet is a family run business and we believe this makes us special. We feel we offer a more personal, one on one service to couples holding their weddings here. Our venue is more intimate than most, everything you need for your perfect day is all in one place so you and your guests can just relax and enjoy your day. Walk down the aisle in our beautiful secret garden then head straight over to our venue where you will enjoy the company of all your wedding guests, eat, drink and embrace your day. Not only that but we have a 20-bedroom hotel with doubles, twins, family rooms and of course our bridal sweet.

From the moment you arrive we can welcome guests with fruit punch, Buck’s Fizz, Prosecco. Our fully qualified chefs have your best interest at heart and truly love what they do. We offer a full function menu with starters mains and desserts but are also happy to hear any requests you may have. We have different buffet packages; canapés and we are now providing BBQ’s and Hog Roasts as an option. All delicious.

Three – Our Secret Garden

This is where you will walk down the aisle to start your journey with your partner. Our well kept garden looks beautiful, especially set up for weddings. Walk under our rose archway, down the red carpet pass white chairs full of your guests to the gazebo where you will say your vows. I really is the perfect location for you big day.

Four – It’s Your Wedding

We know and appreciate that this is YOUR big day. We are simply here to make sure you get the wedding you have worked so hard for. Our wedding co-ordinators & staff are very professional, fully attentive and have had plenty of experience in making sure your day runs smoothly. We organise, assemble, structure, we do everything, so you don’t have to. We have one on one meetings to know exactly how you want your day to run. On the big day, all you need to do is show up and we look after the rest.

Five – Budget

Now we all know how expensive weddings can be and I can speak from experience. But here at The Hunters Meet we have you covered. There’s the saying big things come in small packages, well it’s true. We may be more intimate, but we have so much more to offer for less. As I’ve said before you get everything you would ever need to make your day perfect. Beautiful garden wedding, photos on the open Heath, delicious food and comfy rooms, all under one roof. There are no hidden costs, we discuss everything with you and confirm all the little details so there are no surprises.

Hunters Top 5 Wedding Tips

One – Location

Your venue is so important to your big day. It’s where all the magic happens. My advice is to go and view them personally, speak to the wedding co-ordinator and get a really good idea of what each venue has to offer. At the Hunters Meet we really enjoy meeting potential couples. We show them round the whole venue and sit down to discuss all the options we have to offer. I feel venues should have their own personality, be welcoming, friendly and attentive.

Two – Guests

I found this could be one of the hardest jobs, deciding who should and shouldn’t attend. Write a list of every single person you would like there, then priorities. Closest friends and family first and go on from there. Don’t get stuck in the trap where you feel you must invite that person because you have invited this person. Remember it is your day, you only have a certain amount of space & budget, people WILL understand and don’t forget you can always invite people to celebrate with you in the evening.

Three – Wedding A Team

Delegate, delegate, delegate. This is your chance to ask for help from friends, family, bridesmaids. Find jobs that would take a lot of work on your own. For example, if you are doing any DIY projects for your wedding, like making your own invites, invite your bridesmaids’ round for a bottle (or more) of bubbly. Set up a little chain of jobs to put the invites together. It’s a lovely way to get stuff done quickly and enjoy time with everyone before the big day.

Four – Relax & Enjoy

From experience it’s very easy to get yourself stressed & overwhelmed. Just remember all the preparation is for a day you will never forget. Enjoy the process, have fun with it and breathe. Embrace the journey, it will all be worth it.

Five – Remember What’s Important

Having beautiful floral centerpieces, matching colour theme or …. Is lovely, but the day is all about YOU. Once the big day arrives its time to take off your wedding planner hat and relax. Take in every moment, step back and appreciate all the work you have done. Be together and soak up every part of what will be one of the best days of your life.
